Oori River Lodge overlooks a particularly scenic stretch of the Crocodile River valley. Extensive gardens blend into indigenous riverine bush with sweeping lawns to the river's edge. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax in tranquil and secluded surroundings. The Lodge is only half an hour from the hustle and bustle of Monte Casino and Fourways, one of Gauteng's premier shopping centres. Lanseria Airport is a mere 15 minutes drive away.
 
The Lodge is in the heart of the Oori Nature Reserve and is fully game fenced. Leisurely walks can be taken in the extensive gardens and in the bushveld environment of the reserve itself. Stroll along our own private nature trail, where prolific birdlife can be observed and there is always the chance of spotting the reserve's varied game, which includes kudu, impala, blesbok wildebeest and zebra, other small mammals and reptiles are often seen.
 
Accommodation:
Self Catering - Karee Cottage is a charming self-catering thatched cottage for two guests consisting of a comfortable living room, a double bedroom, a kitchen/dining area, a scullery and bathroom. Kitchen facilities include a microwave and electric hob. Outside the cottage is a large paved terrace leading onto a barbecue area with its own private lawns overlooking the river.
 
Bed & Breakfast - Bed & Breakfast is available in an en-suite room with separate access to the gardens. Dinner can be provided by arrangement. A braai service is available for our B&B guests. Everything is provided except food. A fridge is available for storage and you are quite welcome to bring your own wine etc. A 3-course dinner is available by prior arrangement, alternatively there are some very good restaurants in the area.

Oori River Lodge is just 5 km off the R512, the road that leads to Hartebeestpoort Dam and the North. It is close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the museum in the Cradle of Humankind. Also in the vicinity are the Sterkfontein Caves and The Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve.
 
Hartebeestpoort Dam with its vibrant African Market is just a short drive away. There are many restaurants and numerous places of interest in the immediate vicinity. Lanseria Airport is only 15 minutes drive from the Lodge and operates regular commercial flights to Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth.
